We’re now in Leeds and Manchester.
For years, we’ve believed that Calibro should have a presence in the North. It’s a region rich in opportunity, talent, and ambition—perfectly aligned with our mission to cultivate sustainable communities anchored in integrity, excellence, and human interaction. But until recently, that ambition sat in the “long grass”, waiting for the right moment.
“We’ve always seen the North as a natural extension of our story. The challenge was finding the right time and the right people to make it happen.” – Stuart Choak, Managing Director
That moment came 18 months ago when Patrick Goodey, who leads our Flood Risk & Hydrology team, approached us with a personal and professional proposition: a move to Yorkshire to be closer to family, and a willingness to spearhead our northern expansion. It was an opportunity we couldn’t ignore.
“Patrick’s approach was the catalyst. It allowed us to accelerate plans we’d been shaping for years and do it in a way that stayed true to our values – keeping growth in the family and building on trusted leadership.”
– Stuart Choak
Two Offices, One Vision
From the outset, we’ve thought strategically. Our expansion is designed to bring Calibro’s collaborative approach to the entire M62 corridor – connecting the great cities of Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds, and beyond. That’s why we’ve opened two new offices:
- Leeds, led by Patrick Goodey
- Manchester, soon to be headed up by a new director (announcement coming soon!)
These offices will work in harmony, not competition, reflecting our belief that collaboration drives better outcomes for clients, communities, and our people.
Why It Matters
For our clients, this means local expertise with national reach – a team that understands the unique challenges and opportunities of northern markets while staying connected to our established bases in Bristol and Southampton.
For talented professionals in the area, it means new opportunities to join a growing, people-first business that values integrity, quality, and innovation.
“This move isn’t just about geography – it’s about taking our mission and values to new communities. We’re excited to bring the Calibro way of working to the North.”
– Stuart Choak
What’s Next?
We’re just getting started. In the coming days, Patrick will share more about his vision for Leeds and the opportunities this expansion creates. And soon after, we’ll reveal the Director who will take the helm in Manchester.
Watch this space – Calibro’s Northern story is only beginning.
