Three Calibro teammates, one shared mission: making a difference where it matters most.
At Calibro, we’re proud to have teams based across Bristol, Southampton, Leeds and Manchester, working together to support sustainable development in communities throughout the UK. But Bristol holds a special place in this particular story. It’s not only home to one of our offices, it’s a city where many of our colleagues live, work, and feel deeply connected to the places and people around them.
So when we chose Caring in Bristol (CiB) as our long‑term charity partner, it wasn’t simply because of the outstanding work they do. It was because their mission reflects the values we hold across all our offices: supporting communities, tackling inequality, and helping create places where people can truly thrive.
This May, three members of our team; Stuart, Richard, and Jonathan, will be taking part in the Bristol Half Marathon to raise vital funds for CiB. Full event details can be found on the organisers website: https://www.greatrun.org/events/great-bristol-run
And yes… training is well underway.
Why We’re Running
As a business built around supporting sustainable development, we’re conscious that the story of a city isn’t complete unless it includes everyone, especially those who don’t have a stable or secure place to call home. This belief is at the heart of our partnership with Caring in Bristol.
Stuart captures this perfectly: “At Calibro we talk a lot about creating sustainable communities, but that has to include people who don’t yet have a place to call home. Working with Caring in Bristol as our charity partner, and taking on the Bristol Half Marathon to raise funds, is a small but meaningful way for us to give back to the city and communities we’re proud to work in.”

CiB’s work, from prevention projects to crisis support, directly addresses the challenges faced by people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Bristol. Their impact is local, immediate, and lasting. Learn more about CiB’s programmes on their website: https://www.caringinbristol.org.uk
Training, Teamwork, and a Shared Purpose
Jonathan, who has been clocking up the miles around the harbourside and Ashton Court, shared what motivates him: “Training has definitely begun, and knowing we’re running for a local cause that’s making a real difference gives every mile more meaning. If our efforts help even a few more people get the support they need, it’ll be worth every step.”
And in true team spirit, Rich offered a grounded and honest update on his own preparation: “Bristol has given us so much, the least we can do is give something meaningful back. I might not have done as much training as the others yet, but I’m fully committed to the cause. If running the Bristol Half Marathon helps CiB continue their vital work, then count me in.”
Together, the team are training not just for the run, but for a cause that means something personal: supporting the city they call home.
A Message from Caring in Bristol
Casey Cox of CiB’s fundraising team adds: “We’re incredibly grateful to the amazing team at Calibro for taking on the Bristol Half Marathon in support of Caring in Bristol. Your dedication, energy and commitment will make a real difference to people facing homelessness in our city. Thank you for going the extra mile – we’re so proud to have you on our team.”
Knowing that our efforts can help elevate their work makes every kilometre worth it.
