Growing in numbers, growing a culture

Four new starters for our progressive consultancy

Whichever role someone joins us in, we’re focused on supporting and nurturing their development – to help make our clients’ plans a reality.

Every member of our team brings a combination of commitment and expertise to the projects we work on. We love what we do, and we’re delighted to add even more quality and personality to the Calibro team.

New Calibro Consultants starter Patricia Jones standing in a fieldTaking standards even higher
Patricia Jones – QMS Assistant

Patricia joining us in April this year is further evidence of our commitment to quality. Taking up the role of QMS Assistant, Patricia provides a dedicated resource to manage and develop our existing Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015.

Independent of our technical team, QMS is central to us ensuring real-time compliance, review and adaptation of our systems and processes, allowing us to focus on applying our technical skills on project delivery.

New Calibro Consultants starter Matthew Knight standing in a fieldThe space to develop
Matthew Knight – Transport Planning Technician

After gaining 18 months’ experience with a Bristol-based transport planning consultancy, Matthew became part of the Calibro team in April 2021. He is responsible for providing day-to-day support to our busy transport team, helping to prepare innovative junction designs in AutoCAD that help to support the concepts of ‘place’; as well as carrying out accessibility modelling and analysis.

Alongside this, Matthew is being mentored by our leadership team and the other experienced experts in our consultancy, following a well charted training program designed to boost his competencies and feeding into his ambitious career plans.

New Calibro Consultants starter Danielle Chick standing in a fieldTurning theory into practice
Danielle Chick – Graduate Transport Consultant

Having completed a degree in Geography, Danielle joined our Transport Planning Team in June this year. As part of Danielle’s studies she was introduced to transport planning principles and knew immediately that helping to shape new developments was an area in which she wanted to start an exciting career.

Danielle has made a fantastic start and is already helping to deliver our Travel Plan Coordinator roles across new developments; at the same time she is becoming more familiar with Transport Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment principles by supporting our planning and technical work at Treasbeare Garden Village, in Devon.

New Calibro Consultants starter Nathan Blake standing in a fieldBuilding on strong foundations
Nathan Blake – Infrastructure Engineering Technician

Nathan came on board in June this year to provide engineering support to our growing Infrastructure & Drainage team. This involves delivering robust engineering designs as part of planning applications and detailed construction designs for adoption by local highway and water authorities.

Nathan will soon be completing his Higher National Certificate at City of Bristol College. We’re looking forward to seeing Nathan build on this foundation of learning and developing a valuable skill set at our consultancy.

Let’s all go to the next level

We’ve encouraged and established a supportive culture here at Calibro. Our new starters are part of a collaborative, team-based environment of shared success, where they can take their skills to the next level.
