UKREiiF 2026: Starting the Conversation

Written by:

Time and place to be: Leeds, 19th-21st May

UKREiiF has quickly become one of the most important events in the industry calendar. A few days where real conversations happen, perspectives are shared, and the future of places across the UK feels very tangible. This May, we’ll be there too. Not just to attend, but to listen, learn, and connect, particularly across Leeds and the wider M62 corridor, where our focus and investment continue to grow.

Calibro may still be a relatively new name in the North, but our ambition here is not. UKREiiF feels like the right place to introduce ourselves properly, face‑to‑face, and to start conversations rather than simply make announcements. We believe strong relationships matter, especially in planning, transport, flood risk and infrastructure, where collaboration is key to delivering places that genuinely work. That’s why UKREiiF is important to us. It brings together people who care about how development happens, not just that it happens.

Creating places where people are the priority

Across everything we do, we come back to a simple idea: ‘Great places put people first’. That means thinking beyond technical compliance and looking at how developments function day‑to‑day, how they’re accessed, how water is managed, how movement works, and how all of that supports communities over the long term.

At Calibro, our work sits at the intersection of:

  • Transport planning
  • Flood risk & hydrology
  • Infrastructure design

But our focus is less on individual disciplines, and more on how they come together to shape places that are resilient, legible and liveable. UKREiiF is exactly the sort of forum where those joined‑up conversations can happen.

On the ground in Leeds

Representing Calibro at UKREiiF will be:

Patrick Goodey Head of Flood Risk & Hydrology – Leeds
E: Patrick.Goodey@Calibro-Consultants.com  M: 07494 742680

Keith York Technical Director, Transport Planning – Manchester
E: Keith.York@Calibro-Consultants.com  M: 07487 846525

Together, Patrick and Keith are leading our work across the M62 corridor, bringing a joined‑up approach that reflects how places really function, not in isolation, but as part of wider networks of movement, people and opportunity. Their focus is on listening as much as talking: understanding local priorities, sharing experiences, and exploring how better collaboration leads to better outcomes.

Why UK REiiF, and why now?

For us, UKREiiF isn’t just about visibility, it’s about starting the right conversations at the right time.

Patrick says: As a new boy in town, I’m excited to have such a great chance to get out and make meaningful new relationships with like-minded folks. The line up of talks and seminars looks to be inspiring and a great launchpad for a cracking few days of discussion and connecting Calibro.”

With increasing pressure on land, infrastructure and decision‑making, the industry has a real opportunity to rethink how development supports people and communities over the long term. We’re keen to be part of that discussion. If you’re attending UKREiiF this year, we’d genuinely love to say hello, whether that’s a planned coffee, a meeting between sessions, or a quick chat while moving between events.

Keith adds UK REiiF 2026 is set to be the biggest yet. It’s one of the few chances in the year to step away from daily pressures and spend meaningful, uninterupted time with clients and collaborators – something that’s genuinely invaluable.”

Let’s talk

If you’re coming to UKREiiF, or if you’re working across Leeds, Manchester or the wider North and want to learn more about how we’re approaching placemaking at Calibro, we’d be delighted to connect. You’ll find Patrick and Keith around the city throughout the event, or feel free to reach out in advance.

UKREiiF is ultimately about people. That’s where our interest lies too.  If you’re also attending the event let’s start the conversation – drop us a message or introduce yourself during the event.
